My 10 pointer taken on November 12, 2006

It was the second day of gun season. I went hunting at my Uncle Jerry's farm (alwyshntn2's dad) in St. Elizabeth, MO. I got in the woods before sunrise and found a spot to sit overlooking a draw. Around 9:30 the wind started picking up and dew started to form. The wind was in my favor, so I decided to proceed to where I seen deer the morning before. I was working slowly and quietly through the woods when this buck came strolling off a hill in front of me. I debated whether to pass this buck up making sure my eye's were not playing tricks on me. When I did finally decide I was going to take this buck it went into some brush. I then knew if I did not hurry I would never see this buck again. So I got to where I was able to see the holler that he was walking to. I could see the outline of him walking through the brush. I had a 10 or 12 ft. opening I knew this was where I would have to take my shot. I put my gun up waiting for him to step into the opening. Once I seen his head in the opening I had him in my scope, I then aimed and then put the crosshairs behind his front shoulder, I then took a deep breath and squeezed the trigger. He never knew what hit him. The buck then jumped up in the air and kicked out his back legs I then knew I had hit him good. He ran 30 yards and dropped!!!!!
