- June 21, 2008 - Youth Archery
Event to be held in Columbia, MO area. Event will focus on basic
archery instruction with equipment provided if necessary.
- Summer 2008 - Youth fishing
day to be held near Fulton, MO. Youth will have access to a very-well
stocked 3.5 acre lake. Equipment and bait will be provided if
necessary. Instruction and educational presentations will also
be part of the fishing day! More details will be posted as they
become available.
- September 6, 2008 - 1st
Annual MDC/MOE Youth Dove Hunt. Dove hunt will be held in cooperation
with the MDC in Central Missouri. Applications will be available
as the event draws near. Stay tuned for more details.
- Toby Olsen Memorial Youth Deer
Hunt (Youth Deer Season 2008) - For the second year,
the MDC and MOE will be working together to provide youth hunters
the opportunity to take their first deer. Last year 5 youth were
successful and we look forward to another great hunt this year.
Toby Olsen was a member of the 2003 MDC Hunting Skills University
and passed away last Fall due to injuries from an automobile accident.
It is our honor to carry on Toby's love of hunting and fishing
by naming our hunt the Toby Olsen Memorial Youth Deer Hunt. Applications
will be available as the event draws near. Stay tuned for more
details.
