Hi everyone!  My name is Travis Belt, MUHunter, on the Missouri Outdoor Experience (MOE) message boards.  I live in NE Missouri with my beautiful wife and two great kids. I hope you are taking a really good look at what MOE has to offer and can see this is a group of very dedicated individuals eager to pass on the traditions they know and love.

I grew up in a small farming community in Northeast Missouri where hunting and fishing was a way of life.  My grandfather and dad both made sure they passed that way of life on to me.  I remember many hunting and fish trips with my grandfather when I was under the age of 10 and to this day have found no better hunting partner than my dad.  I honestly can’t think of a game animal in Missouri that I have not pursued or a fish I haven’t tried to catch with my dad by my side.  It is that great passion for the outdoors that I too hope to pass on to my children some day.  It will be awhile before my own kids are ready to head to the woods but I already know the excitement of sharing a hunt with others.  Whether it is heading out with my best hunting buddies or taking a youngster on their first hunt there is nothing like being in the great outdoors. 

My true passion is turkey hunting.  I can’t wait for the spring season to roll back around every year as soon as the last one closes.  I still get just as nervous now as I did the first time I sat between my fathers legs watching those old gobblers strut into range.  There is just something about that feeling that I can’t explain but after taking my brother-in-law on his first turkey hunt ever when he was 14 and bagging a big gobbler at 12 yards in full strut I know he knew the feeling too.  Ever since that hunt, I have tried my hardest to go hunting with others.  Whether it is my dad, my best friend, family, or youngster new to the outdoors there is just something about sharing the outdoors.

I hope that you know this feeling or are excited about finding out what it’s all about.  If you are looking to become involved in the outdoors or are looking to share your talents with others, I think MOE is the place for you!
